The fear of long words. How ironic!

Here is a very amusing article about its symptoms & treatment.

Another of my favorite words is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis (not a link), which is the longest word in the English language.

According to the Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, it means: "A lung disease caused by the inhalation of very fine silicate or quartz dust."

Those are by far the shortest words I have ever heard or seen.

I was going to leave a comment, but I'm too scared. Those big words, they frighten me.
